SCIPS has a membership structure which permits both tenants & residents groups and other local community groups within Sandwell to jcome into membership. TENANT PARTICIPATION

The Sandwell Tenant Participation Agreement (TPA) - sets out how council tenants can participate in housing issues that affect them. The original agreement dates back to 2000 and was reviewed in 2003 with a further review in 2006/7. SCIPS has been a partner in this process throughout. The National Tenant Voice - is a new independent organisation for tenants of housing associations, housing co--ops and local authorities (including ALMOs) in England. It is being set up to give tenants a voice, influence and expertise at national level.

We are delighted to announce that the Black Asian & Ethnic Minority Tenants Consultation Group of Sandwell now has its own website! SCIPS helped in setting up the group back in 1996 and has supported the group since those earliest days - find out more by visiting the BEAM website today!

Big Lottery Project 2006 - 2009
Our Big Lottery Funded “IT is Empowerment Project” has now come to an end as from the 31 st March 2009. The project has run for 3 incredibly successful years and has enabled us to provide support to a wide range of local community groups.
