The Connexions open day was held at the High Street branch in West Bromwich and was attended by Councillor Simon Hackett, Sandwell Council's cabinet member for children’s services. James Harvey, 17, attended the open day with his mother Sarah O’Connor. James applied for an apprenticeship in motor vehicle maintenance and repair with Sandwell College. James said: "I have just left school and was unsure what to do next. I received great advice and information from my Connexions personal adviser when I attended. I look forward to hearing from Sandwell College and hopefully starting soon." His mother Sarah O’ Connor said: "My son's personal adviser was extremely good at helping and gave excellent advice. My son now feels confident in his future. Thank you - the service is excellent."
