Frighteningly Fun Pumpkin Picking at Forge Mill Farm

Sandwell Council’s Forge Mill Farm is offering families the chance to pick their own pumpkin right up until Halloween. Access to Sandwell's first pumpkin patch at Forge Mill Farm is included in the standard ticket price and the patch operates on a "pay for what you pick" basis.

As well as standard pumpkins, there will be large and monster homegrown pumpkins available to buy. All visitors also have the chance to explore Forge Mill’s new spooky sunflower trail in which they can find all our different scarecrows, bail creatures and a vintage cart for awesome photos.

During half term, visitors can also make a free bird feeder out of a sunflower head and a bug hotel out of the sunflower stems to help our wildlife during the winter when there is less food around.

At Forge Mill Farm's sister site, Sandwell Park Farm, the Country Parks team of Rangers will be offering pumpkin carving sessions in the walled garden throughout half term including the weekends.

Two sessions will run each day at 11am and 2pm with a maximum of 20 slots per session. Sessions cost £5.50 per child and include their pumpkin which they can pick from the garden. Pre-booking is essential by calling Sandwell Park Farm reception on 0121 569 3070.
