The Family Holiday Association (FHA) has announced that its funding programme will re-open for applications early in November.
Through its funding programme families on a low income, that have not been on holiday for the past four years and have at least one child between three and 18 years of age can obtain financial support for a break during 2014.
The FHA can only accept applications from referring agents and not directly from families. The holidays provided are generally in UK holiday parks such as Haven or Butlins.
Holiday park breaks include free accommodation, linen rental, entertainment passes and holiday insurance (subject to medical conditions). FHA may also make a contribution towards the family’s holiday expenses.
For example, 50 young families enjoy a day trip to Boscombe beach in July. The family day out to Dorset was organised as part of our community development initiative with Bracknell Forest Council’s children centre team.
The demand for holidays is usually greater than the funding received so FHA recommend submitting an application as early as possible.
