Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (The) Windrush Day Grant Scheme (England & Northern Ireland) - Deadline: 17th December 2023

The Government has announced that £500,000 in funding is available to local communities in

England and Northern Ireland to hold events celebrating the Windrush Generation and their positive impact on modern Britain.

Charities, community groups, and councils can apply for grants to fund parades, educational resources, arts, and sporting projects. Proposals should clearly demonstrate how their project will work with local community partners. These might include, but are not limited to, organisations such as museums, libraries, and schools. The minimum amount available for each project is £5,000 and the maximum is £50,000. This year, there are two tiers of funding:

• Tier 1: small projects, of a value between £5,000 and £24,999,

• Tier 2: larger projects, of a value between £25,000 and £50,000.

Applications from outside Greater London and the South East are encouraged. Consortium bids will also be accepted.
