SCVO Vision 2030 Sports Activities Grants Programme (Sandwell) – Deadline: 4 th December 2023
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to voluntary, community and other not-for-profit organisations working to improve the health and
fitness of residents in Sandwell. The funding is being made available by Sandwell Council through the SCVO/SMBC Vision 2030
Sports Activities Grants Programme which aims to support projects that achieve one or more of the following:
• Create new opportunities for Sandwell residents to take part in sport in a community setting,
• Support people in transition from health lifestyle activities into regular sporting activities,
• Increase the number of volunteers involved in helping to deliver sports activities,
• Create opportunities for volunteers to become qualified coaches. Projects should be led by, and for, local people, to provide support for those facing the biggest life challenges, including older and younger people, and those living with disabilities or financial hardship. The funding can be spent over a one-year period. Collaborative applications are particularly encouraged. prospective applicants need to have an initial conversation with SCVO before submitting an application. The relevant application form will then be sent over.
