Free access to more magazines and comics

Sandwell Libraries members will have free access to many more magazines and comics with a new online service.

From Monday (17 August), anyone with a Sandwell Libraries card will be able to read a range of new titles including Hello, BBC Good Food, BBC Gardener’s World and TV Times magazines, among others.

The service also contains hundreds of eComic titles including popular publishers Disney, Marvel and Dark Horse.

Councillor Danny Millard, cabinet member responsible for libraries, said: “The libraries team has been really working hard to provide online services since lockdown started and we have seen a great response from residents, with a big increase in library memberships.

“Whether you’re a Marvel fan or you want to keep up with the latest celebrity gossip, there is something for everyone with our new FREE online collection of eMagazines and eComics.” To access this service, library members should download and install the RBdigital app to their mobile or tablet or go to the RBdigital website sandwell.rbdigitalglobal.com and use their library card number to register.
