CONNEXIONS ADVICE SERVICE FOR A LEVEL AND GCSE RESULTS STUDENTS
A team of expert advisers will be on hand to discuss with Sandwell students the implications of their examination results over the next couple of weeks.
Sandwell Connexions Careers Advisers are getting ready to help young people during what is a “worrying time” for some students and parents. Students who may not have got the grades they expected or decide against their original career plans can attend special sessions to discuss their futures.
The A Level exam results are released on August 18 and a week later on August 25 the GCSE results will be released.
The team of advisers will be on hand to help young people navigate their next step at a time which can be worrying and exciting.
Up to date advice will be available on a variety of options including apprenticeships, traineeships, jobs and college courses as well as advice on the university clearing process and help with CVs and interview skills.
Young people are invited to use the Exam Results Service which will be available at Sandwell Council House, Oldbury, between 10am and 4pm from 18-31 August (excluding weekends). Appointments can be booked with advisers can be booked during this period on 0121 569 2955. Parents and carers are welcome to accompany their son or daughter.
