Department for Education Funding to Recruit and Retain World-Class Teachers (England) – Deadline: Rolling

The Department for Education is making over £300 million in funding available to attract and develop world-class teachers.

Graduates applying to train as teachers in 2022/23 in high-demand subjects such as maths, physics and computing can apply for bursaries of up to £24,000, and existing teachers in all state schools in England can access courses to develop their skills.

The National Professional Qualifications will help them develop and progress in their careers and ensure they have the skills needed to support young people to catch up and thrive following the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This could include behavioural management, training of other teachers and becoming a great head teacher. Applications for teacher training are now open.
