Arriva Save Our Wild Isle Community Fund (UK) - Deadline: Rolling
Arriva, in partnership with the RSPB and WWF, is making £1 million available to support community groups and schools in
deprived areas of the UK to protect and restore nature in their local
area. The Save Our Wild Isle Community Fund is a crowdfunding initiative that will give £2 for every £1 raised by each project. Community groups can apply for an initial £500 to kick-start their project and up to £15,000 in match funding.
To apply for the Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund, projects need to be focused on taking action for nature in one of the following three ways:
• Nature restoration – activity that boost local biodiversity, by protecting or restoring habitats, creating space for nature, connecting green spaces and/or addressing activities that directly impact biodiversity,
• Nature connectedness and pre-environmental behaviours – action that supports greater connection to nature and promotes pro-environmental behaviours at the community level that will benefit nature,
• Community cohesion and connection – nature positive activity that encourages collaboration in the local community, by connecting people of diverse backgrounds, generations, and abilities to nature and one another. A wide range of nature projects can be supported, from creating community gardens and replanting wildlife meadows, to protecting wildlife and promoting community connection to n nature. Applications can be made at any time until all the funding has been allocated. More information at: https://tinyurl.com/yc5tpvpj
