Steel Charitable Trust (The) Grants Available for Community Projects (UK) - Deadline: 11th July 2024
Charities, charitable incorporated organisations, and municipally funded museums
across the UK can apply for grants of between £10,000 and £25,000 for projects that positively impact local communities. The funding is made available through the Steel Charitable Trust Rolling Grants programme, which supports a variety of projects and activities that make a real impact in the areas of:
• Arts and heritage,
• Education,
• Environment,
• Health (specifically programmes and activities that aim to support, maintain, and improve mental health in any demographic, and health care for older people),
• Social or economic disadvantage (specifically projects focusing on disadvantaged children, and housing and homeless people).
There are no focus areas within the categories of arts and heritage, education, or environment. Funding can be used to cover:
• Core costs,
• Capital works,
• Specific projects.
Awards of more than £25,000 are rare. Organisations with an annual income of over £50,000 are welcome to apply.
