West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner (The) Funding to Make Communities Safer (West Midlands) - Deadline: Rolling
The West Midlands
Police and Crime Commissioner is providing £330,000 in funding to help West Midlands communities to make their areas safer. 37 Constituted community groups and organisations can bid for up to £5,000 from the My Community Fund to support locally based community projects that aim to make a positive difference and make the West Midlands a safer place to live, learn, and work. The money is allocated from items seized from criminals under the Proceeds of Crime Act for projects that will contribute to crime prevention & reduction, and community safety in the local area.
The services provided must be linked to those prioritised by the PCC’s Police and Crime Plan, such as: • Combatting violence against women and girls, and domestic abuse,
• Tackling violent crime,
• Investing in schemes to support young people to prevent them from becoming victims of crime, criminal exploitation, or offenders.
Applications can be made at any time. Most bids are considered and approved in September and October, although exceptional projects can be considered at other times of the year.
