Windrush flag raising
You are invited to take part in a flag raising ceremony to mark
the 76th year of Windrush on Friday 21 June at 12noon outside Sandwell Council House, Oldbury. We will be joined by local elders Hyacinth Jarrett and Eugenie Samuels, who are part of Sandwell’s Windrush Community, and poet Sharon Blissett will be reading a short poem. Additionally, a community event will take place at The West Bromwich African Caribbean Resource Centre from 2pm - 6pm. A programme of events is set to take place and light refreshments will be provided.
