Sandwell Towns Fund Residents, businesses and community groups in Sandwell are being urged to have their say on what improvements they would like to see as part of the Government’s Towns Fund deal which will see up to £75m invested in Sandwell (up to £25m per Town).

 

Last year, the Government announced that 101 towns would benefit from the Towns Fund deal – including towns in Sandwell; West Bromwich, Rowley Regis and Smethwick.

We want you to get involved and have your say in the development of the Town Deal by completing a short survey.

On Monday 24 August, Sandwell Council is hosting a week-long series of free online workshops and information videos dedicated to helping residents find a job or a new career.

The workshops will provide advice on a range of employment help and support with subjects including apprenticeships, job vacancies, interview and employment skills.

Councillor Rajbir Singh, cabinet member for skills and employment, said; “Covid-19 has created employment and job uncertainty for many.

Think Sandwell and other teams within the council are still here to help residents of all ages. "Apprenticeships are a fantastic way of getting into a new career and they are still available.

There is also a wide range of support available to those who want to retrain, those made redundant and anyone else just starting out.
